The Virtue RF from Cartessa combines powerful radiofrequency energy with the latest in microneedling techniques to dramatically rejuvenate, lift, tone, and tighten the skin of the face, neck, and even parts of the body. The Virtue RF is versatile and powerful, allowing our experienced medical aestheticians and aesthetic nurses to customize the treatment to each patients specific needs, while still achieving dramatic results. The combination of the RF energy and the micro-injuries created by the gold plated needles stimulate and increases cellular activity in collagen, elastin and fibroblasts in the skin allowing treatments that target a wide range of concerns such as deep eye bags, wrinkles, acne scarring, and loose skin on the jawline or jowling.

The Virtue RF is safe for all skin types and tones to tighten the skin, and improved the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and undereye bags. What should I expect during the treatment?
Patient comfort and safety is always the number one priority at the MedSpa at Wake Plastic Surgery. The treatment will start with your licensed medical aesthetician or aesthetic nurse applying a topical numbing cream to the treatment area so that you are as comfortable possible. Then during the treatment, the tiny gold needles will create micro-injuries to the skin, creating the micro-channels where the RF energy will enter and reach the deeper layers of the skin. This will activate the stimulation of collagen, elastin, and fibroblasts that will lift and tighten the skin over time.
What should I expect after the treatment?
Immediately after the treatment a Microcurrent Dual Face Mask will be applied to help soothe, hydrate, and calm any redness that may appear from the treatment. This mask not only promotes the healing of the micro-injuries that were created, but also decreases recovery and downtime. Typically there is no social downtime with the Virtue RF treatment. When at home, it is important to keep the treated areas protected with a good SPF. Your results will continue to improve over time, and you should start to see a nice glow and a more even skin tone right after your treatment, with optimal results at about six weeks after your treatment. Depending on your skin type and what goals you and your aesthetician have for you skin, your aesthetician may recommend a package of 3 to 6 treatments scheduled 4 to 6 weeks apart.
