Scalp Reconstruction Patient 03
Description:
This young patient developed a sclerosing basal cell cancer of her scalp that required excision. She had Mohs surgery with the resultant scalp defect that exposed the skull that measured 6×6 cm. The defect was reconstructed with a large rotation advancement flap. The local hair-bearing tissue was used to fill the defect with very little distortion to the scalp or hair pattern.
