Breast Revision Patient 17
Description:
This patient had silicone implants placed 6 years ago. She developed an inferior malposition of her right implant sometimes referred to as “bottoming out”. Her left breast had been treated with a breast biopsy several months prior and there was a possible rupture of her left implant as a result. She had a implant exchange procedure and pocket revision surgery in which the right pocket was repaired with capsulorrhaphy sutures that restored her natural breast crease. The left implant pocket was also improved by tightening the lateral wall and softening the medial wall of the pocket. Slightly larger silicone implants were used to replace the old ones. She is still healing, but has a very nice result at 3 months.
