Breast Revision Patient 11
Description:
This is a patient that had a breast augmentation and donut mastopexy with me 3 months prior. Her left breast implant descended on the chest wall right through her breast crease. This phenomenon is called “bottoming out”. Usually, bottoming out can be attributed to oversized implants or difficult chest wall tissues, but this patient is proof that undesirable results can happen with anyone. I corrected the issues by placing heavy sutures along the crease of the breast and reinforcing the part of the capsule running along the inframammary fold (capsulorrhaphy). She now has a stable and symmetric result.
