Tummy Tuck Patient 159
Description:
This patient is the mother of 3 children who developed a severe weakness of the abdomen wall after pregnancy. Her diastasis recti was significant enough that she was having back pain and an inability to complete normal lifting and exercise. She was otherwise in great physical shape. She was actually turned down by two other local surgeons because of the extent of the diastasis and the thin quality of her overlying skin. We proceeded with the abdominoplasty surgery and rectus plication, corrected a small ventral hernia, and these are her 10 month results. The vertical midline scar is very well healed and allowed me to remove most of the poor quality skin that was around her belly button. She starts her new soccer league this fall.
